Desperate Housewife

Mary is a desperate housewife who is controlled at times by dissatisfaction, disappointment and lack of cooperation. She is studying to advance her career. Her husband is supportive when it's convenient for him. More than often she has to negotiate time for herself and to study because he's always "busy" running errands. They have a family that is too young to be left alone so she's forced to stay indoors and attempt to gain control by time management...it doesn't work.

Mary was able to get out the house one day and instead of studying as she planned she went shopping. She thought she would show her husband that she too could be in control of the household and decided to purchase a major appliance. Her lack of control of the relationship allowed her to spend money on an extremely expensive item that they clearly could not afford.

She felt a sense of satisfaction by purchasing an item without consulting with her husband. The household has limited income and this purchase would put them further into debt. Mary has to discuss her feelings with her husband. Both have to create a plan to satisfy each other's needs. Her emotions allowed her to spend without consideration of her husband, finances, and proper communication.
