Is everyone a leader?

We all attempt to be successful in life and many of us are. Success is defined by each person. No two people are the same. So, why is it that many companies only seek out "leaders"? At times they believe everyone in the company must have leadership qualities. Leaders are defined by someone who is capable of having followers. A leader allows you to vision your goals, stand up for what you believe and execute a plan. Contrary to many beliefs, all managers aren't leaders and all leaders aren't managers. Incidentally, the word itself is too broad to expound on.

Not being a leader is not necessarily a bad thing. It only means you identify what your weaknesses are and willing to improve as oppose to conceal. Again, everyone isn't a leader. Willing to work on your self takes more courage than leading a group of people to nowhere just to boast about your title. I personally want to follow someone that allows me to shine in my own light and vision my goals to collectively work toward a common goal.

Know who you are and accept that we have strengths and weaknesses. Once you begin to love and not loath your weaknesses, you then will be able to embrace and strengthen yourself. Remember, the person ahead of you is not always the person leading you!
